Next Level Wednesday – Becoming a Trooper
ALPENA, Mich. — On today’s Next Level Wednesday, Alpena native Trooper Jason Kunath shares his journey from driving trucks to wearing a badge.
Trooper Kunath drove a semi truck across country for approximately 14 years until his company closed in 2018 which was about the time he began his application process for the Michigan State Police.
He said being afraid to make a change and failing were a couple of reasons why he did not pursue become a trooper earlier. He added that self doubt played a role and said, “I didn’t think I had it in me.”
Kunath is very new with MSP and has no plans on looking back as he is happy in his role.
