New Years Baby Finally Arrives in Alpena: Stella Mae Janis

 Bringing in the New Year, means adding an addition to the family for some, and that’s just what new mom, Kelia Nedo and Shayne Janis did! Little Stella Mae Janis made Alpena wait for the first baby to make their debut, making her grand entrance, into the world on January 2nd at 8 am.

“I was in shock I asked the people here: ‘Is anybody born here yet?’ and you will be the first one. I was like: ‘Oh my God, our heart sunk, but we’re pretty excited,’” new father, Shayne said.

Stella’s unique name comes from the popular movie: ‘Sweet Home Alabama.’ Second time around mom, Kelia confessed that baby Stella was very stubborn making everyone wait for her arrival.

“I’ve always wanted a girl, so I got my boy and my girl, I’m content,” Kelia said. And when it comes to being spoiled, baby Stella will become a daddy’s girl if you ask her father.

“We’re going to get her a Harley for her 16th birthday. She’ll be riding away in it hopefully,” Stella’s father, claims.

As for diaper duties, big brother Jordan can answer that. “I am not changing the diaper…giggles,” he joked.

And if you ask the new family about future kidos, we’ll let them have that conversation. “(Kelia) no, maybe we’ll have one more. (Shayne) no we’re done…giggles.”
