New library exhibit encourages thinking beyond

Alpena, Mich. — A new exhibit at the Alpena County Library is exploring our solar system and beyond.
The exhibit ‘Explore Space’ from NASA’s STAR_Net program opened this week. It features different panels and hands on activities for people to learn more about our universe. The library will also provide different science kits from NASA’s STAR_Net program for folks to explore.
“They can start with information on the information panels, and if you go around, there is more information on the back,” said Tina St. John, program manager for NASA@ My Library. “We also have a table set up back there with puzzles and little hands on STEM learn activities and a telescope they can explore with.”
