MSP Alpena Post Recruiting Men and Women for the Law Enforcement Team
MSP is always looking for new faces that’s why they are hosting a question and answer to recruit men and women for the Law Enforcement Team.
“What we’re looking for in troopers is somebody who has integrity, they know the difference in what is right, and what is wrong, and someone who wants the dedication to wear our uniform and someone who is willing to give back to the community in the ways we have to as a Law Enforcement Officer,” Trooper Simpson said.
Troopers will be on hand at the MSP Alpena Post to answer questions about joining the team. Simpson said often times everyone wants to know how to get into a special field, but must realize that have to start from the bottom to move on to bigger and better.
“Some of the questions that we are often asked is how to get on a specialty team, such as our K–9 Team, or our Emergency Support Teams because people are interested in going into that line of work. However for our department you have to start out as a Trooper working the road before you can do that and a lot of people don’t realize that, they think they can just join up and start as a K-9 Officer,” Trooper Simpson said.
Simpson added that the question and answer session would help interested applicants make sure this is the right career choice for them. If you’re interested in joining the sea of blue at MSP Alpena Post the question and answer hiring process will be held on Thursday, May 25th from 4 pm until 6 pm.
