Mob of Angry Pro-Trump supporters invade U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON, D.C. —  The United States Capitol was shut down and Congress was evacuated after a pro-Trump crowd violently clashed with police and stormed the west front of the Capitol building earlier Wednesday.  It was reported by the Associated Press that one woman was shot.  All government officials were evacuated, including Mike Pence and Nancy Pelosi.  Officials were taken to a secure location, prior to the Senate chamber being breached.  President-elect Joe Biden called on President Trump to go on national television to denounce the violence.

 

Update: Capitol Law Enforcement has cleared the U.S Capitol Building of insurgents ahead of Washington D.C’s curfew. One women was shot during the chaos and has died from her injuries. Congress plans to reconvene tonight and finish certifying the Electoral College results.
