Mio and Hillman eliminated from playoffs after great season

Bellaire — The Mio Thunderbolts and Hillman Tigers lost in the division four volleyball regional semifinals on Tuesday in Bellaire. The Tigers battled the Leland Comets and lost 3-0; 25-9, 25-14, 25-12. Hillman struggled digging up the Comets kills, especially from sisters Sarah and Hanna Elwell. Hanna led the team with 12 kills.
Mio lost to Bellaire 3-0. Thunderbolts’ Reagan McGregor and Claudia Wilson made some key blocks that held them close in set two losing 25-23, but the Eagles’ Sophia Rosiek and Libby Derrer dominated at the net.
A job well done this season for both Hillman and Mio.
