MidMichigan Medical Center Alpena Becomes first in the Nation to Utilize New CT Scanner

MidMichigan Medical Center Alpena is the first in the Nation to utilize the Siemen’s Somatom Confidence® RT Pro CT Scanner for radiation therapy. The scanner utilizes IMAR, which stands for image artifact reduction. The program can reduce and almost make metals in the body disappear during imaging, the scanner also has direct density technology providing a clear view making it more beneficial for the health care provider.
