ALPENA, Mich. — If you’re looking to become a Michigan State Trooper, your opportunity may be right around the corner.
Due to COVID–19, Michigan State Police will be hosting a virtual recruiting webinar for those interested in a career as a state trooper.
The webinar will focus on essential job functions, information about the entry level law enforcement exam, the MSP hiring process and more.
According to Michigan State Police Trooper, Kellie Shaffer, compared to other states, Michigan is advanced in their training.
Shaffer also adds that the training is secondary and there is a more important component that they look for in a recruit.
Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21-years of age with no felony convictions.
