LANSING, Mich. — According to data from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, the state’s active COVID-19 cases have once again passed the 100,000 mark.

Just one month prior, the state was reporting only 30,000 active cases of COVID-19. The last time the state reached this mark was mid-November- when the second lockdown began- and active cases stayed this high until January. MDHHS is currently reporting 114,000 active cases.

“There is light at the end of the tunnel,” Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said. “The only way out is if we work together and everyone does their part.
