Lansing, Mich — The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs is urging skiers and snowboarders to heed to some safety practices while out on the slopes.
The department says safety should be everyone’s first priority when heading out. Wearing a certified helmet and using extreme caution while getting on and off chairlifts will help prevent injury.
The department also advises skiers and snowboarders not to exceed their skill level while on trails and to rent or buy proper equipment for each activity.
