Michigan Brown Trout hosts 8th Annual Kiddies Classic

ALPENA, Mich. — Kids aged 1-14 got the chance to get out on the water and fish during this year’s 8th Annual Kiddies Classic at the Michigan Brown Trout Festival.

Junior Aspey won the 1-5 age group with a 12.30 pound carp. Alissa Aube was the runner-up in this age group, followed by Brielle Kuznicki.

For kids aged 6-10, Blake Kuznicki won with a 2.95 pound sheepshead. Travis Anderson and Jacob Birmingham round out the leaderboard in that group.

Last, but not least, Aiden Aube won the 11-14 age group with an 11.60 pound carp. Cameron McEwen was the runner up, followed by Gus Wirgau.

Overall, Junior Aspey caught the biggest fish of the tournament with his 12.30 pound carp.
