A proposed modification for military training airspace over northeast Michigan is coming to life. The Combat Readiness Training Center hosts many training events for national and international guard units from around the country. The biggest of the year is northern strike.
Michigan Air National Guard officials are seeking input from community leaders, including the Alpena Regional Airport to identify potential concerns with the airspace proposal, and to identify solutions and adaptations to the proposal.
Community leaders in northeast Michigan seeking to arrange a meeting should contact the Michigan National Guard Public Affairs Office at 517–481–7734.
