LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan House of Representatives held its annual ceremony to commemorate Michigan First Responders lost in the line of duty and, honor those lost in the 9/11 attacks.
House Democratic leader Donna Lasinski hosted the ceremony.
She also recognized efforts from first responders serving in Michigan communities.
Saline Fire Chief Jason Sperle was a special guest during the event.
In a statement Lasinski said: “On this day, and every day, we honor our first responders and military service members who put their community and country before themselves to keep the rest of us safe.”
