Medilodge in Rogers City receives mayoral proclamation in honor of skilled nursing care week

One organization in Rogers City is making a difference for elders and families in the area.

Medilodge has been a pillar in the community for decades, and staff is receiving recognition for all the work they’ve invested over the years. The organization was presented with a mayoral proclamation in honor of skilled nursing care week. Mayor of Rogers City and former registered nurse, Scott McLennan, says Medilodge is excelling in its efforts to take care of it elderly residents.

“Well overall, this is skilled nursing care week and the resolution that we passed at the recent council meeting, the mayor proclamation, if you will, is one that recognizes the great work that the folks here at this facility do for our vulnerable citizens.

Director of market development, Cheryl Kranzo, has been at Medilodge for years. She says staff at the facility takes pride in their work and treats residents like family, day in and day out.

“Working in a skilled facility is like really an honor. We do the right thing all day, every day. We recently were honored at our annual for our organization, prestige organization. Medilodge of Rogers City won the quality award, as well as we won the director of nursing award. Both of those awards are very, very prestigious in the health care industry, those are both very, very important. ”

The facility offers comprehensive programs including physical therapy, rehabilitation, nutritional support and more. Staff at Medilodge plans to continue going above and beyond for its community.
