MDHHS seeks to fund mental health sites for adolescents

LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services is working to develop more mental health services for school–aged youth in Michigan.  The Expanding, Enhancing Emotional Health Program Expansion also known as E3 is looking to fund additional sites.

E3 works to provide a safe and caring place for all children and adolescents.  Their goal is to help youth learn positive health behaviors, coping mechanisms, and receive needed support.

A total of 1.6 million dollars is available in MDHHS’ request for proposal and they are anticipating issuing approximately 13 awards.

Grant applications for E3 must be submitted electronically through the MI E-Grants website grants program by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday March 3.
