ALPENA, Mich.—The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services issues an emergency order Sunday limiting indoor gatherings. The order is in effect for the next three weeks and gatherings are limited to two house holds at a time.
Bars and restaurants are to operate with outdoor dinning, carry out and delivery only. High schools and colleges are also to transition to remote learning.
Governor Whitmer says, “The number of cases are growing in Michigan.”
Michiganders are assured the new order is not a stay at home order. Residents are allowed to work outside of their home.
Outdoor gatherings are permitted and parks will remain open. The order will take effect Wednesday, November 18.
