Man taken in for questioning for shots fired near DPI in Alpena
ALPENA, MICH — We have an update on the shooting reported near Decorative Panels International yesterday afternoon.
Shots were fired shortly after 4:30 p.m. yesterday in the direction of DPI. Employees performing maintenance on the roof rushed to safety and hid behind available objects until police arrived. Law enforcement attempted to contact a suspect who resides in the 600 block of fort street where the incident took place, but were unable to reach him for hours.
Officers finally located the 58–year–old man around 9 p.m.
He was taken in for further questioning. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
