Today at the Pocket Park in Downtown Alpena the Make a Splash Community Mural was dedicated.
Artist Tony Hendrick was on hand speaking about the process of making the mural and the impact members of the community have had on the project.
In total there are thirteen sculptured fish across the mural, which Hendrick engineered specifically to withstand Morthern Michigan summers and winters.
Community members both young and old have painted the fish over the past few years through special workshops hosted by Art in the Loft
Next spring Art in the Loft will be placing a metal sign next to the mural listing all of the various sponsors and donors to the project.
