Mackinac Island Named #1 U.S. Travel Destination For Summer 2018

Expect more travelers to Northern Michigan this summer as Mackinac Island was named the number one U.S. travel destination by TripAdvisor.
The destination beat out other spots like Yellowstone, Nantucket, and Jackson Hole. Mackinac Island offers more than 70 miles of biking, horseback riding, and hiking trails. Since cars are not aloud, you can often find bikers and horseback riders throughout the island.
Weddings are also a common occurrence on the island during the summer. The island is home to 63 different wedding vendors and has been named the wedding capital of Michigan. Whether it’s the Grand Hotel or world famous Mackinac Island Fudge, Mackinac Island has a little something for everyone.
