LWV of Northeast Michigan announces town hall on redistricting
ALPENA, Mich. – The League of Women Voters of Northeast Michigan is holding a virtual town hall to educate Michigan voters on the Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission, which will draw new legislative and congressional maps. The event is being held as part of the League’s National Day of Action on redistricting.
The town hall will take place on Thursday, April 22 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Co-Presidents, Doris Feys and Pauline Buchner, will discuss redistricting in Michigan, the commission and opportunities for the public, including communities of interest, to provide input to the commission before it draws the maps.
