Lumberjacks fall to Skippers in home finale
ALPENA, Mich. — Monday night didn’t go as planned for the Alpena Community College Lumberjacks men’s and women’s basketball teams. Both teams just couldn’t keep up with the Skippers of St. Clair Community college in their home finale. The women lost 68-47, while the men drop another home game, losing 79-57.
In the women’s game, the Skippers got off to a hot start by scoring 13 consecutive points. From there, St. Clair was able to cruise to the finish line for the road victory. In the men’s game, the Lumberjacks just couldn’t get into a rhythm from the start as they had a hard time knocking down shots. Both teams will finish the 2019-2020 season on Wednesday when they travel to Macomb Community College.
