ALPENA, Mich. — Michiganders eligible for lost wages assistance will soon begin to see payments over the next week to 10 days. Eligible Michiganders are set to receive funds provided through the Lost Wage Assistance program in the amount of $300 per week to supplement unemployment benefits.
Funds will be provided for those who are unemployed or partially unemployed due to disruptions caused by COVID–19. UIA Director Steve Gray said eligible claimants will receive funds for benefit weeks ending August 1, 8, and 15.
Gray estimates 910,000 claimants will receive these additional benefits.
