Local Walgreens Celebrates National Red Nose Day
Not only are celebrities across the nation and the world wearing red noses. Here in Alpena our very own local Walgreen’s is making sure to donate one nose at a time to fight child poverty.
What started in 1988 in the U.K., Red Nose Day launched in the U.S. in 2015, the global campaign has helped raise over one billion dollars throughout the U.S. and in some of the poorest communities in the world.
Starting early with the campaign; the store made it very clear that this year’s goal would be met. Showing a more creative way to rock out red, one employee made a true fashion statement for her support of today. A red nose special will be held tonight to tally up donations across the world.
