Local tea and dress up shop open in Alpena

ALPENA, Mich.— Residents now have a new spot to pour up a cup of tea and step back in another decade. Goodies Vintage Tea Shop and Dress Up officially opened in Alpena Friday located on North Second Avenue.

Visitors have a variety of tea flavors to choose from and timely outfits to dress up in. The shop is sectioned off into four vintage areas where women and men can take photos and book parties.

The family friendly environment houses a collection of clothes from Northeast Michigan areas. Tea shop owner  Nichola Cornelius says, “She’s giving out hugs for free for a cup of tea.”

Cornelius named the tea shop after her late grandmother Goode. The shop owner says, “Her grandmother loved making others laugh and always enjoyed a cup of tea.”
