Local Restaurant & Book Store Awarded ‘Family Friendly Business’ for Being Breastfeeding Establishment
Meet Joanna Cooper, a mother, business owner, and more. Cooper was recently awarded the ‘Family, Friendly, Business Award’ for her investment in being an early childhood establishment that allows nursing mothers to be able to feel at ease while tending to their little ones.
The mother of 4 said she felt the need to provide a unique space for nursing women because she too was once a breastfeeding mother. Cooper is the proud business owner of both, As You Wish Gourmet, and Blue Phoenix Books in Alpena.
According to the District Health Department #4 more business owners in Northeast Michigan are looking to welcome nursing mothers thanks to a new logo.
