Local organization hosts summer pig roast fundraiser

ALPENA, Mich.— Friends Together is hosting their annual pig roast fundraiser this month to continue to raise awareness  and provide support for cancer patients in the local area. The fundraiser helps to cover transportation and lodging costs for patients.

It will also keep support groups available for caregivers. Residents can expect live music, a barbecue meal and hands on games for children.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $7 for children under 12. The fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday July 19th from 1pm to 5pm at the Fletcher Street Depot in Alpena.
