Local medical facility rebrands and adds new services

ROGERS CITY, Mich. – One Rogers City medical facility has reopened its doors under a new name.

Thunder Bay Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers cut the ribbon to kick off their rebranding celebration Thursday.

The facility was formerly known as Thunder Bay Therapy and Sports Medicine.

The staff says although they’ve taken on a new name, they’re still helping serve the community in a big way.

“One thing that was very important to us as we made the decision to change the business a bit is that it gives a little more grounding to grow into the future, but we’re the same smiling faces people have known for 20 some years here in Rogers City,” said Clinical Owner and Director Teresa Duncan.

Staff will also offer new services with their rebranding.

“New balance programs, work hardening programs, reaching out to people post–operatively,” said Physical Therapy Assistant Larissa Neumann.

“The other thing that is new to the physical brand is a Body Q Assessment,” said Duncan. “That is an overall assessment of your physical condition and gives you a snap shot.”

The center said it’s offering a free Fight the Fall Assessment for the month of October.

This test will help determine if you are at risk of falling.

Thunder Bay Fyzical Therapy and Balance Centers is located off Bradley Highway in Rogers City. They also have a location in Alpena.
