Local health center offers new service to patients

ALPENA, Mich.— The Alcona Health Center in Alpena is now offering an acute care clinic to patients in need of same day services. The new clinic replaces discontinued walk–ins since the start of the pandemic.

The clinic is available to patients who do not have an emergency, but need to be seen for healthcare treatment. Residents do not have to be Alcona Health Center patients, but an appointment is required in order to be seen by a doctor.

The clinic is open Monday through Friday and telehealth options are still available. To set up an appointment, patients can call 989–356–4049.
