Local gallery owner reopens for one night

ALPENA, Mich.– Although Brian Schorn’s gallery, Studio Rubedo, has been closed since March, he opened it just for Friday night to showcase the work of a friend.

His current exhibition, “Present Sense Impressions & Excited Utterances,” displays pieces by a New York artist named Daniel Belardinelli. All pieces on display have been made during the pandemic and express the artist’s feelings in lockdown. A handful of Belardinelli’s pieces were at the gallery last night, but most of the exhibition is presented as a slideshow on the gallery’s website.

For those interested in hearing from the artist, Schorn will be holding a zoom interview with Belardinelli this

afternoon. Information for joining the call, as well as information about the exhibition itself, is available at studiorubedo.com.
