Local fire department responded a trailer fire

ALPENA, Mich.— The Alpena Township Fire Department and other emergency agencies responded to a fire Wednesday night at Stoney Acres Winery. When crews arrived on scene, a road trailer was completely engulfed in flames.

According to Amy Gagnon business manager at the winery, the trailer caught fire within minutes after a spark from another vehicle ignited the flames. It took crews under an hour to put the fire out and no injuries were reported.

Stoney Acers Winery is a family owned business dating back to 1999. The company is known for their handcrafted beer, wine and shipwreck soda line.

Gagnon said, “Because of the fire the trailer will have to be replaced along with a freezer and soda bottles.”
