Local college offers free tuition
ALPENA, Mich.—Alpena Community College has joined in on the Futures for Frontlines program. Governor Whitmer presented the new program Thursday in support for frontline workers looking to acquire a college degree.
If you worked for an essential business between April 1 and June 30 and do not have a college degree you are eligible for free tuition at ACC. Interested workers looking to pursue an associate degree or a skills certificate are also eligible to apply both on a full time and part time basis.
Current students at ACC can also apply to the program if they have not completed the school year and meet the eligibility requirements.
The application deadline is December 31.
