ALPENA, Mich.– Boots on the Ground Geoventures gave spring one more welcome Saturday.
BOTG normally specializes in treasure hunts, geocaching, and escape rooms. At noon on Saturday, however, they spread over 26 hundred eggs at eight Alpena parks for a belated Easter egg hunt.
Several families brought their kids to the hunt, which featured eggs spaced six feet apart.
Company founder Joshua Pritchett said he originally had a broader scope for the event.
“It was gonna be a treasure hunt, originally, with a cash prize for adults. We wanted to include families. But, we didn’t sell enough tickets, so we decided to go ahead and still release all the eggs for the kids.”
Pritchett said he’s looking forward to bringing back his company’s regular adventures once we’re on the other side of the COVID crisis.
