Light showers possible tomorrow; Brighter Easter Weekend

Last night, a few thunderstorms moved through Northeast Michigan in a moist and unstable air mass. A period of dry weather arrived this morning, followed by more showers this afternoon. The latest round of showers fell with a cold front moving through our area. A few scattered showers remain possible tomorrow. Finally, brighter skies will arrive in time for Easter Weekend.

High temperatures today reached the upper 50s to around 60 degrees — before a cold front and related showers moved through our area. The day started with winds out of the south providing very warm temperatures. After the cold front passed through this afternoon, winds shifted out of the north causing temperatures to drop.

Low temperatures will drop to the upper 30s early tomorrow. A few showers are possible in the morning and afternoon with high temperatures reaching the upper 40s. The chance of showers will decrease tomorrow evening as drier air arrives.

Winds from the north will continue to bring cool temperatures to our area tomorrow, only reaching the upper 40s. High temperatures will warm over the weekend, climbing to the middle 50s on Saturday. A light breeze out of the southwest combined with some sunshine will help temperatures get to 60 degrees on Sunday. After that, temperatures will drop slightly early next week.

A few showers are possible tomorrow morning and afternoon with cooler temperatures. Saturday is looking mainly dry, although there is a small chance of showers late in the day. For Sunday, temperatures warming to 60 degrees in the afternoon and a mix of sun and clouds are expected. There are a few low-end chance of showers early next week.
