Leftover licenses for turkey season

ALPENA, Mich. — As spring approaches so does hunting for turkeys and this year the leftovers are the licenses.  If you didn’t apply for a license or  unsuccessful in the drawing, licenses are now available.

For a longer season, private land hunters in Southern Michigan can purchase a special license called a Hunt Unit ZZ.

There are additional licenses allowing hunting the entire month of May on public and private lands.
