ALPENA, Mich. — This holiday season there will be an increased police presence.
Driver’s will see an increased presence during the holidays.
The Michigan State Police will be patrolling roads in the upcoming days.
The annual sober or get pulled over sponsored by the national highway traffic safety administration.
“We have extra patrols out for Christmas Eve and Christmas and we also have extra patrols out for New Years Eve and New Years Day specifically looking for drunk drivers.”
The legal drinking age in Michigan and is 21 and over.
More than 30 people died on Michigan roads in alcohol related crashes.
Always remember to identify a designated driver for your group, do not let friends drink and drive, and always drink responsibly.
