Karol Walchak sworn into city council

The meeting also saw a new city council member get sworn in.

Yesterday’s city council meeting started with Karol Walchak taking the oath of office prior to her attending her first ever city council meeting as a member of the council.

After that,it was business as usual where the city’s financial status was disclosed.

Auditors said the city has increased its budget by nearly one million dollars.

City manager Rachel Smolinski commended the city for achieving this financial status during the budget struggles many cities faced amid the Covid–19 pandemic.
