TAWAS CITY, Mich. — On Tuesday, the Tawas Area volleyball team didn’t lose a set in their home opener. The Braves improve to 4-6 on the season as they defeated Hillman 3-0 (25-20, 25-13, 25-21).
Kaylee Kaems paced the Braves with 21 assists along with six aces. Paige Barringer chipped in with 10 kills and five aces and Hayley Lingo finished with 18 digs and seven aces.
The Braves will square off with their rivals Oscoda this Thursday at 7 p.m. Hillman will look to get back on track this Thursday at Fairview to battle the Eagles. First serve is at 7:30 p.m.
