Jack MacDonald and His ‘Furry Friend’ Holly Encourages Teens to Log Off Social Media
Alpena has a new student to call their film champ! Over the weekend Thunder Bay International Film Festival named Alpena High School 11th grader, Jack MacDonald the winner.
MacDonald said his film, ‘Holly and Jack: In Sanctuaries’ is about encouraging young people to get out and take a break from the world of social media..
It also urges young folks to enjoy the natural surroundings Northeast Michigan has to offer. The 16–year–old said he plans on pursing a career in film.
MacDonald, along with his furry four legged friend Holly, who was featured in the film took home both first prize and the people’s choice award.
