Indian Reserve Road Set for Resurfacing Project

Alpena- Road work begins Tuesday for a stretch of Indian Reserve Rd.
The Alpena County Road Commission has contracted out work to J&N Construction, LLC to resurface 1.61 miles of the road, between Precour and Werth Rd. Construction crews will resurface the pavement, improve drainage, place hot-mix asphalt, and reshape the shoulder of the road. There will be lane closures and flag control.
Funding comes from the Federal Surface Transportation and matching funds by the Alpena County Road Commissions. The project has a price tag of $625,000.
The project is expected to be completed in six weeks.
