Adam ClaibonAdam Claibon - Meteorologist
Adam joined WBKB in December 2012. He makes his way to Northeast Michigan from his home state of Alabama. A graduate of Florida State University, Adam graduated in April of 2011 with a major in Meteorology and a minor in Mathematics. His interest in weather began early in life while living in Minnesota where he enjoyed playing in the snow, as a small child. After moving to Alabama, the snow pretty much vanished, but tornadoes, hurricanes and prevalent severe weather outbreaks increased Adam's fascination with weather. While at Florida State, Adam became a weathercaster on FSU Weather, a nightly weather show run by the meteorology students and took on the role as team leader of the show, which included duties such as building weather graphics and preparing forecasts for Tallahassee and surrounding areas. He also had the opportunity to intern at WSFA in Montgomery, AL where he helped prepare graphics and posted weather blogs. During his spare time Adam enjoys playing his bass guitar and playing sports. He also enjoys watching sports and passionately roots for “his” Vikings, Lakers, and Twins. He can also be found rooting for “his” FSU Seminoles (GO NOLES) and his home state’s Alabama Crimson Tide (ROLL TIDE)! Most importantly, you can find Adam intensely sitting in front of a computer; diligently forecasting the weather for the viewers of Alpena and the rest of Northeastern Michigan.
