Huron Humane Society looking for fosters

ALPENA, Mich.– The Huron Humane Society is in need of some foster homes for new kittens.

Lately, the Society has received very young kittens without mothers. The shelter has put out a call to Alpena residents to help socialize and care for these kittens for a few weeks. Mikalah Strothers, animal tech at the Humane Society, says that these baby kittens need to be fed every three to four hours, and receive plenty of love.

“You basically need to have quite a bit of time on your hands to take care of them. If they’re too young to eat on their own they need to be fed every couple hours, so you’d need to be around every couple of hours to feed them. They need to be socialized, just things like that.”

Those interested in fostering can request an application by phone or Facebook message.
