Alpena, Mich. — Bowlers took to the lanes on Friday night to bowl for a great cause.

Hundreds stopped in for some bowling to help support the Boys & Girls Club of Alpena. The annual fundraiser benefits one-on-one mentoring program over at the club.
Folks tested their luck on the lanes in this St. Patrick’s Day spirited celebration.

“It’s a fun, party atmosphere where we all just get together, so many businesses, so many sponsors, and individuals come out to support this program, support the Boys & Girls Club, it’s initiatives and provide opportunities for kids to grow and thrive in our community,” said Executive Director Bradley Somers.

Bowlers could win prizes, grab food, and just have some good old fashion fun. Last year, the community raised over $7,000. 125 kids take advantage of the opportunity to get some one on one mentoring, so every dollar counts. To learn more about the Boys & Girls Club, visit www.bgcalpena.org.
