Horne & Wieczorkowski Brothers Shine at 43rd Annual Grand Lake Fish Derby

 

ALPENA, Mich. –

Last Saturday was a beautiful day to be out on Grand Lake. The Grand Lake Sportmen’s Club held there 43rd Annual Fish Derby. The derby was broken up into different divisions and different categories  of fish.

The categories were; Northern Pike, Bass, Rock Bass, Walleye, and Perch.

Many of the competitors were out on the water starting at 7 am, including Joe Horne. Horne has been fishing for only two years. He took first place in last years perch and rock bass divisions. Horne had an excellent day on the water and was able to win a few cash prizes with some of the fish he caught.

“Five walleyes, two keepers, and a rock bass,” said Horne.
