The future of the Holiday Inn Express and Suites is looking very bright.
The new water front hotel over looking Thunder Bay River just installed its first sign as construction teams continue to work on the future downtown Alpena hotel.
President of the Amerilodge Group, Asad Malik said the new hotel would have a lot of new technology and connectivity.
He also says the hotel will be focused on fitness with a state of the art gym.
“It’s actually some cool features from a technology standpoint…up to date fitness equipment. Holiday inn express brand as well as IHG as a whole is really focused on fitness so we’ve kind of made a very nice fitness center and we have a very good healthy breakfast with multiple options in the breakfast area,” Malik said.
The Holiday Inn Express is located at the corner of River and North 3rd Avenue. The four-story hotel will have 90 rooms, an indoor pool, meeting and boardrooms, and complimentary breakfast.
