Hillman Fugitive and his mother are apprehended and arrested
HILLMAN, Mich. — The Michigan State Police Seventh District Fugitive Team has apprehended 33–year–old fugitive, Steven Mark Casebier, and arrested his mother for harboring a felon.
A felony warrant had been issued for Casebier of Hillman who was wanted for larceny, fleeing and eluding, and assaulting a police officer. MSP visited his mother’s residence on Pleasant Valley Road in Hillman in August searching for him.
According to Public Affairs Officer Lieutenant Derrick Carroll, Casabier’s mother, 55–year–old Elizabeth Marie Slater, was informed of the consequences for harboring her son back in August.
Casabier was arrested while hiding in his mother’s home and was later arraigned in the 88th district Court in Alpena County. Slater was released on a $3,000 cash bond.
