High winds until Monday night; Cool through midweek

A High Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight for all of Northeast Michigan. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are occurring this afternoon and evening. Winds will begin to settle down late overnight.

Strong winds will continue through this evening. Tuesday, winds will be noticeably lighter, coming from the west about 15 mph.

Scattered rain showers have changed to scattered snow showers. Temperatures have been dropping throughout the afternoon causing the change of precipitation type. Tuesday is looking mainly dry, then a few scattered flurries will be possible Wednesday.

Low temperatures overnight will cool to the middle to upper 20s. Tuesday morning, temperatures will be in the upper 20s with partly cloudy skies. More cloud cover is expected in the afternoon with highs near 39 degrees. Evening temperatures will be near 30 degrees.

High temperatures Tuesday will be in the upper 30s. Temperatures will get quite cool early Wednesday, lows will be around 22 degrees. A few patchy flurries are possible but any amounts will be light with afternoon temperatures several degrees above freezing. Thursday, high temperatures will climb to the lower 40s with a mix of sun and clouds. Temperatures will get even milder Friday and Saturday.
