Health department issues important vaccine reminder

ALPENA, Mich. —  District Health Department No. 4 has issued a reminder regarding the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine.  The health department said it is imperative that anyone who received the first vaccine dose attend their appointment for the second dose of the vaccine.  Those appointments have been scheduled for Friday, Feb. 5, Sunday, Feb. 7 and Tuesday, Feb. 9.  New appointments for the vaccine will not be accepted on these days. The health department said based on the FDA authorized Pfizer dosing interval schedule, these are the only Pfizer second dose clinics scheduled and due to the current nationwide vaccine shortage, the department cannot guarantee anyone a spot in another clinic.
