Governor receives threat against state employees

LANSING, Mich. – WBKB has learned that Michigan state employees received a threat in mid–December.

According to the Detroit Free Press the threat was an extortion scheme from Indiana that was mailed to the governor.

The anonymous sender allegedly said state employees would die unless the governor handed over 2 million dollars in bitcoin by January 25th.

According to Michigan state Police Lieutenant Derrick Carroll MSP investigated the incident and have consulted with the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center where they deemed the threat as not credible.

The governors office has made no comment on the matter.
