Most shoreline locations were cooler with highs of 56 degrees in Rogers City and 53 degrees in Osocda. Skies are mainly clear over northern Michigan, and it will remain dry tonight. There could be a brief spotty shower Thursday morning but the rest of the day is going to be mainly dry. A disturbance from the north will move through our area Friday, and that could provide a rain/snow mix during the morning and afternoon.

Morning temperatures will be in the upper 30s, and afternoon highs will reach 50 degrees. Winds will come out of the northwest about 15 mph. The evening hours will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the upper 30s.

For any outdoor activities, Thursday afternoon and evening are looking good. Friday, a light rain/snow mix will move through Northern Michigan, so you’ll want to have some indoor plans. The weekend is looking better, generally dry although temperatures will still be below normal. Sunday will be a little milder than Saturday.

Thursday’s high temperatures will be around 50 degrees with mainly dry conditions (except a slight chance of a morning shower). A disturbance originating from northern Canada will drop southward and bring us a rain/snow mix on Friday, although that should clear out in the evening. Highs on Friday will be around 40 degrees — nearly 20 degrees below normal! Saturday will be mostly cloudy with highs in the middle 40s.
