Genealogical Society prints WWI book
ALPENA, Mich.– The Northeast Michigan Genealogical Society is offering a new book at the Besser Museum.
“Alpena’s Service in the Great War” is filled with miniature biographies and family relations of the men in Alpena who served in the first World War. The book is intended as a genealogical resource for Alpena residents. The society started selling the books Friday at the Besser Museum, and will continue sales Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. If there are any books left over, the Society will return on November 6 and 7 at the same time.
The book has been four and a half years in the making and costs 25 dollars.
